IROQUOIS ARTISAN'S
logo is made up of three traditional images. A semi
hemisphere which is called the SKY-DOME represents our world.
Above the sky-dome is the symbol for the TREE of PEACE. The Tree
represents the formation of the Iroquois Confederacy, the peace
or unity of the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca and Tuscarora
Nations. The Haudenosaunee are people of Law. The Tree offers shelter
to other peoples who would abide by the Great Law. The other names
used for the Tree of Peace elaborate the perspectives held about
the Tree as the Evergrowing Tree, the Tree of Life, the Celestial
Tree. Below the sky-dome is a parallel line representing our MOTHER
EARTH as infinite, never-ending.
